Role and Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer at AOT, you’ll design, migrate, and optimize modern Lakehouse solutions. You’ll build and orchestrate data pipelines, migrate legacy systems, and collaborate closely with analysts, architects, and clients to deliver scalable, secure, and performant data platforms.

You’ll work hands-on with Databricks and Microsoft Fabric to implement Delta Lake architectures and modern ETL/ELT workflows. Whether integrating data sources, optimizing data lakes, or enabling reporting through Power BI, your work will directly support critical decision-making and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines
  • Design Lakehouse architectures and implement Delta Lake solutions
  • Migrate legacy data warehouses to modern cloud-native platforms
  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL
  • Orchestrate workflows using Azure Data Factory or Databricks Jobs
  • Ensure data quality, performance, security, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across analytics, architecture, and business teams
  • Apply data governance, lineage, and guardrail principles in all solutions
  • Build dashboards and BI tools using Power BI or similar platforms
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows

Who You Are

You’re a hands-on data engineer with a consulting mindset, a knack for optimization, and a passion for helping organizations make smarter, data-driven decisions.

  • 5+ years in data engineering or data warehousing roles
  • 2+ years experience with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric
  • 2+ years working with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Strong skills in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake architectures
  • Experience with data modeling, orchestration tools, and BI platforms like Power BI
