The role:
This role focuses on gathering, cleaning and validating large amounts of data from multiple sources to build dashboards and reports that are pivotal in understanding performance. Responsible for sharing key reports with right audiences and ensuring key insights, trends and opportunities are highlighted. This role will cover all categories and channels, reporting into the Senior Insights Manager UK and is ideal for someone with a strong interest in data and its role in shaping strategies.
What you will do:
Data Quality Control: Collecting, cleansing and validating data:

- Maintain existing databases (Regular Maintenance Checks, Maintaining New Product Coding, Reviewing Missing Products)
- Ensuring data used in Kao reporting is cleansed and accurate
- Supporting Senior Insights Manager with Database Restatements
Issuing regular reporting across Hair, Skin, Sun and Tan Categories for the UK:

- Updating and sharing regular performance reports and dashboards using a blend of sources | EPOS, Scantrack, Panel, Profitero etc
- Updating and sharing monthly category performance reports using a blend of sources | Circana, Kantar, Retailer Insight Platforms
Optimising and evolving reporting solutions:

- Explore solutions that allow KAO to evolve reporting to respond to emerging needs (new channels, new metrics, new categories, new data/ reporting tools)
- Implement solutions that automate reporting and allow key stakeholders to self serve for all basic needs. Creating uniform reporting solutions across our categories.
- Continually provide regular training, and upskilling the business with latest analytical tools and data system usage
Design and Oversee Performance Monitoring Tools:

- NPD Monitoring: Create NPD performance trackers for Kao and Competitor launches
- Price and Promotions Monitoring | Explore and create solutions that allow KAO to monitor price and promo movements for our competitive set
- Share updates and results of performance monitoring tools blending data and insights
Respond to ad-hoc Insight requests:

- Support the Senior Insights Manager with ad hoc insight requests to serve the marketing and commercial teams
- Support with key Insight projects (ad-hoc insight projects, portfolio management, growth pillars, market share calculators etc)
- Input into key promo and pricing projects carried out by C&I, RGM teams
Additional requirements:

- Excellent data management and reporting skills - Ability to collect, clean, integrate and maintain accurate and reliable data from multiple sources. Being able to combine multiple sources to generate easy to use reports.
- Excellent analytical skill set - Skilled in exploring data, identifying trends, and translating findings into meaningful insights and leveraging them to make recommendations.
- Extremely organized - Has the ability to manage a number of projects and priorities to tight deadlines
- Superb communication and storytelling skills - Ability to present data in a clear, compelling way to influence decisions and drive an understanding across teams.
- Commercial curiosity with a desire to develop customer understanding
- Strong visualisation skills to present data and insights in an impactful and engaging way
- Collaboration and stakeholder management skills - Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions
Education and Experience:

- BSc/BA Hons degree in Maths, Statistics/ Analytics or related discipline is essential
- 1-2 years experience in a data and/or insights role in UK FMCG or Retailer
- - Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI essential
- - Ability to use Tableau, Python, SQL desired but not essential
- - Ability to use Circana, Kantar and retail insight platforms essential
- - Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data
- - Excellent communication and presentation skills
