The Position

The Opportunity

The Data and Analytics Governance (DAG) Lead is a key role responsible for establishing and maintaining effective data & analytics governance practices for Roche’s Digital Backbone (Enterprise Resource Planning environment) and the Finance, Procurement and Roche Solution and Services Domain, working closely with cross-functional teams in ASPIRE program (implementing and deploying the Digital Backbone to all Roche affiliates), Roche Data Office, Informatics and Enterprise Master Data Management (EMDM) to ensure the consistent application of Functional DAG policies, standards and controls derived out of the Global Guidelines from the Roche Data Office. 

  • Align, Develop and implement a comprehensive DAG Framework, including data policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with the Roche Data Council's policies, standards and procedures.

  • Implement and further develop the Framework`s  data and analytics -related roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive DAG Cookbook, including metadata management guidance

  • Build and maintain up to date metadata repository, data lineage, monitor data quality, integrity, and security measures in collaboration with data stewards, data owners, and Informatics teams

  • Facilitate DAG meetings, Stakeholder alignment meetings and closely collaborate with the Roche Data Council

  • Manage Business Data Stewardship from a Product Owner perspective, including Strategy, Roadmap and Objectives for Data Analytics and Governance (DAG), aligned with Group Data Strategy

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in data management, governance, or analytics roles

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts

  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and standards (e.g., DAMA)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

  • Effective communication and facilitation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels

  • Project management experience and the ability to juggle multiple priorities

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging data and analytics governance frameworks to continuously improve DAG Roche’s Digital Backbone approach

  • Excellent understanding of Data & Analytics, Pharmaceutical Business Processes, Data Governance Solutions (e.g. Collibra)
