We are currently seeking a Data & Analytics Engineering Intern to join our team. At 407 ETR, we are committed to providing meaningful work experiences that empower early career professionals. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be an integral part of an Agile/Scrum team contributing to the development, delivery, and ongoing support of data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions

  • Assist with ingesting data from source systems, transforming it for analytics, and making it available in the data lake or data warehouse

  • Work with fellow team members, other IT teams, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver meaningful insights

  • Write, test, and maintain Python, SQL, or other data‑focused code used in data pipelines and analytics workflows

  • Learn and apply cloud‑based data services and best practices for scalability, reliability, and security

  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and demos to share progress and learn from others

  • Collaborate, pair program, and share ideas to continuously improve data quality, performance, and usability

  • Help enhance the internship program by participating in career fairs, interviews, and mentorship of future students

  • Have fun while learning a ton!

Qualifications:

  • Exposure to cloud concepts and services (AWS or Azure preferred)

  • Knowledge of Python, SQL, or another relevant programming language used for data processing or analytics

  • Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT concepts, or working with datasets

  • Basic understanding of databases and data storage (relational and/or NoSQL)

  • Familiarity with data formats such as CSV, JSON, Parquet, or similar

  • Experience using version control tools such as Git

  • Interest in analytics, reporting, or data‑driven decision‑making

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
