Reporting to the Manager, CSC Analytics as a Data Analyst you will focus on supporting our high growth business segment in accelerating the growth and application of analytics in driving value. You will leverage practical experience in applying varied data analysis techniques & offering advice/inputs to help with solving complex business problems. 

 

What will you do? 

  • Work closely with business partners to identify complex business problems to solve and provide data driven solutions 

  • Provide automation support for key data and business processes  

  • Ongoing support to uncover opportunities that will drive incremental sales 

  • Operationalize reporting processes and synthesize key metrics into impactful and insightful dashboards to monitor and assess the success of the business initiatives/performance 

  • Perform reporting automation, self-serve analytics enablement, and promote the culture of analytics-driven decision making

What will you need to succeed?  

  • 2 + years industry experience working with data (i.e., quantitative analysis experience, including handling, manipulating, and analyzing data, hypothesis testing, data modelling and data visualization) 

  • 3 + years experience with SQL. Comfortable writing accurate, efficient, complex SQL queries to extract and integrate data from multiple database sources 

  • Business results focused with strong analytical skills and an eye for detail and accuracy 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with the ability to simplify complexity for business audiences 

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to operate in a matrix environment that requires strong cross functional collaboration 

  • In-depth prioritization, planning, and change management skills to stay within time/scope of a task in a fast-paced environment 

  • Comfortable learning new applications and processes quickly with minimal direction 

 

 

What technical skills will you need? 

  • Developer of Tableau, CRM Analytics, Salesforce 

  • Working knowledge of Python and Hyperscaler platforms

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
