Data Analyst II

Remotely based Full Time

The Data Analyst II position will join the Analytics team in driving growth for our stakeholders by using our Data through Analytics and Strategic Initiative. The ideal candidate is an individual contributor on the Analytics team responsible for driving stakeholder growth through routine and ad-hoc data analyses and strategic initiatives; ideal for current analysts seeking advancement or external candidates with 2–4+ years of experience ready to deepen their expertise. This role will own and optimize the Palantir Workbench environment to improve data-matching accuracy and analytical capabilities, and will support development efforts by conducting user testing, performing QA on match logic, and triaging match-related changes, incidents, and regressions.

Your impact:

Routine Analysis Responsibilities:
  • Will be trained and expected to run regular and ad-hoc analyses to support business needs and monitor performance as highlighted below
  • Utilize customer data to maximize savings potential, increase contract utilization, and generate additional revenue
  • Analyze reports and presentations for accuracy prior to presentation, and provide specifics regarding recommendations 
  • Present complex savings opportunities in accessible, easy-to-understand language

Palantir Workbench Ownership:

  • Take direct ownership of Palantir Workbench by reviewing user feedback, adjusting matches, and tuning score factors to improve matching precision and recall
  • Execute routine dashboards and conduct ad-hoc analyses to monitor matching performance and identify areas for improvement
Development Support:
  • Provide crucial support for development initiatives through user testing, quality assurance (QA) of match logic, and triaging match related changes, incidents, or regressions
  • Partner with product, engineering, and other analyst teams to prioritize match improvements and translate business requirements into actionable tuning changes

Communication and Documentation:

  • Maintain a strong focus on clear, concise, and timely documentation of all changes, methodologies, analyses, and their expected or observed business impact
  • Produce clear and timely documentation and communications detailing what was changed, why, and the anticipated or actual impact
  • Maintain reproducible analysis workstreams, including SQL scripts, spreadsheets, and notebooks, ensuring clear handoffs

Data & Analytics Skills:

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to understand and navigate large, detailed datasets
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Python 
  • Proficient Excel skills & other Microsoft Office Programs 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (or Related CRM)

Organizational Skills: 

  • Ability to maintain thorough, well-structured, and personally organized records.
  • Able to structure and present all documentation in a way that is easily understood, navigated, and comprehended by other people

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to communicate with developers and bridge technical and non-technical gaps 
  • Liaise with the development team and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and summarize data for various partners with priorities and clear actions

Ability to learn, use and implement new technologies: 

  • Prior knowledge and experience with AI technology or willingness to learn

About you: 

  • 3+ years of analyst experience (or equivalent) as an individual contributor.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel, with experience in data cleaning, joins, and understanding scoring logic.
  • Experience with Palantir Workbench or other record-linkage/matching tools is highly beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Comfortable with user testing, QA processes, and triaging technical issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce concise and impactful documentation.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about data-driven improvements.
