Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Testing Automation Expert with 4 to 8 years of hands‑on experience in designing, implementing, and leading automated testing strategies across complex programs. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Playwright automation (API, UI, and non‑UI scenarios such as file and DB reconciliation), solid knowledge of CI/CD ecosystems, and prior experience in the financial services industry. This role also requires the ability to coach, coordinate, and drive testing standards across multiple teams, ensuring quality and consistency throughout the delivery lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Technical Delivery Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, covering: API testing UI testing Batch/File reconciliation automation Database verification & reconciliation Contribute to the definition of enterprise-level test automation frameworks and reusable libraries. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent). Ensure automation reliability, stability, and alignment with program-level test strategies. Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and optimize pipeline execution times. Quality Governance & Coordination Define and enforce testing standards, guidelines, and best practices across the program. Coach and support testers and developers to adopt automation and quality engineering practices. Lead defect triage and collaborate with cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, Architects). Ensure proper documentation and traceability using JIRA and XRay. Act as a Quality Engineering point of contact for one or several functional streams. Domain Expertise Leverage prior experience in the financial industry (banking, asset management, trading, risk, or regulatory domains). Understand data flows, reconciliation needs, financial instruments, and reference data processes where applicable.

Job Description:

Location: Bengaluru

Drive large-scale reference data remediation and quality control activities within an enterprise MDM transformation, combining automation-driven cleansing with investigation-based resolution and business stakeholder engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyse data quality issues across large datasets (profiling, root-cause analysis, pattern identification) and design scalable remediation approaches.
  • Define and execute data correction strategies using business rules, standardisation logic, and reference data sources (internal & external).
  • Investigate complex data conflicts and duplicate entities, assemble evidence, and support authoritative value decisions with audit traceability.
  • Partner with business units and system owners to coordinate remediation, enforce ownership, and prevent re-occurrence of issues.
  • Develop validation checks, reconciliation controls, and data quality monitoring metrics to support migration and coexistence phases.
  • Support automation of remediation activities by translating business rules into executable logic with data engineers / scripting tools (SQL/Python preferred).

 

Required Experience

  • 3–7 years in Data Quality, MDM, Data Governance, or Reference Data within financial services or large regulated environments
  • Hands-on experience with large datasets (millions of records)
  • Experience analysing data discrepancies across multiple systems
  • Exposure to onboarding/KYC/counterparty/reference data strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with reconciliation, data lineage, or audit evidence processes

 

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL (mandatory)
  • Excel / data analysis tooling (mandatory)
  • Basic Python or scripting (preferred but not developer level)
  • Data profiling / DQ tools (Informatica, Collibra, Ataccama, etc.) helpful
  • Understanding of matching / duplicate detection concepts
