About the role

Data Analyst - 12-month max term opportunity

A key expert adviser to the business, unlocking the value of C&I data through the provision of accurate and timely information to support the decisions our people make every day. The Position is responsible for the development of improved processes and solutions for extracting, analysing and/or reporting data for Business Sales data and reporting requirements. Demonstrating an understanding of enterprise Data and Data architecture will contribute strongly to this role’s success.

             

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the development and delivery of data and insights projects contributing to C&I growth, operational efficiency, and enabling data-informed decision making.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business questions into clear requirements

  • Mine data, undertake analysis and interpret multiple data sources and present outputs in an actionable and engaging format

  • Continuously refine and enhance the user experience with a focus on creating systems of self-service insights that are sustained with minimum investment of time

  • Proactively identify and take ownership of data issues impacting business processes and reports and implement solutions & controls to resolve issues and improve quality and integrity of data

  • Scope and develop new or improved reports/dashboards for Business Sales to effectively determine key customer insights and potential financial opportunity

  • Advanced ability to think independently, and diplomatically challenge assumptions

  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and effectively manage expectations

  • Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Identify and scope proactive opportunities to enhance business performance through the provision of insights by synthesizing data from multiple sources across opportunities, pricing, product, operations and credit.

  • Engage stakeholders, managing expectations and communicating Actionable Insights that improve sales outcomes, help inform the future direction and evolution of C&I in a complex and ever-changing market

  • Build and manage ongoing relationships with a complex matrix of internal and external stakeholders

About You

A self-motivated data analyst who thrives working in a collaborative, creative and engaged team with scope to have real impact across the business. It’s important to be the customer’s biggest fan through passion to educate in collaborative environment whilst working with cutting edge technology

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Experience in a data, reporting, or analytics role—ideally within the energy, utilities, or similar complex industry.

  • Strong SQL skills and demonstrated experience developing enterprise-grade dashboards in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modelling).

  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex datasets and translate findings into clear insights.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines.
