JOB SUMMARY

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Damage Prevention Specialist to support our Aerial Patrol program. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance across all patrol activities. This includes coordinating with pilots and operations to ensure pipeline ROW is flown at scheduled interval, documenting the flight completion, creating work orders for observations identified by pilots, and pulling historical records for regulatory audits. The ideal candidate communicates effectively, collaborates closely with Operations and Pilots, and is comfortable working with tools such as GIS, Excel, and Utilisphere. Experience with back-end program formatting, data organization, and procedural writing is a strong plus.

Job Profile Summary

Administer the Damage Prevention Program's Aerial Patrol program while providing support and training to pilots and field operations to meet DOT compliance requirements.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage new and ongoing observations received from pilots in GIS, creating work orders for observations requiring follow-up and ensuring completion of follow-up work
  • Maintain compliance schedule of patrol routes and notify stakeholders of pending due dates.
  • Provide administrative support by managing the Work Order Management System setup to ensure correct configuration through various changes in personnel, organization, etc.
  • Generate and distribute reports for Operations leadership utilizing various platforms (including but not limited to Utilisphere, ESRI GIS Portal and TIBCO Spotfire)
  • Log relevant Damage Prevention data on Good Catch, Near Miss and Damage events input in ESH database by Operations to support Damage Information Reporting Tool (DIRT) reporting efforts
  • Coordinate with HR and IT to set up new pilots as contractors in the system, provide them with the required equipment and relevant training on required programming
  • Assist in trainings for Operations personnel and pilots as a part of the Aerial Patrol and Damage Prevention compliance programs
  • Prepare documentation for state and federal inspections related to Aerial Patrol regulations

Education

  • H.S. Diploma required

Experience

  • Experience, training and/or knowledge of pipeline operations and regulations related to ROW patrol operations preferred
  • Experience interacting, advising and communicating effectively both orally and in writing preferred
  • Experience in scheduling or dispatch preferred

Expected Salary Range

$50,000.00 - $76,000.00
