We are seeking a Cyberworthiness engineer to join our Professional Services team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality security advisory and engineering services across a diverse portfolio of projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work across complex, highly regulated environments, applying structured security engineering principles while engaging with a broad range of stakeholders.

The Opportunity:

  • As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will play a key role in managing and delivering cyber security and risk outcomes across projects. You will operate across the full security lifecycle — from requirements definition and architecture through to implementation, assurance, and compliance.
  • You will work closely with engineering, project, and client stakeholders to ensure security is effectively integrated into system design and delivery, while aligning with defence and industry frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Cyber Security Advisory & Delivery

  • Provide expert information security advice and system security engineering support across projects
  • Contribute to the definition of security requirements, architecture, and design
  • Support implementation and integration of security controls across systems

Risk, Governance & Compliance

  • Conduct security risk assessments, maturity assessments, and gap analyses
  • Design and support implementation of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) aligned with recognised frameworks
  • Ensure alignment with defence and regulatory requirements, including:
    • Information Security Manual (ISM)
    • Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
    • ISO 27001

Assurance & Accreditation

  • Support certification and accreditation processes
  • Contribute to security audits, assessments, and assurance activities
  • Assist in preparation of security documentation required for compliance and approval

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners
  • Provide clear, practical advice to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support project teams in embedding security into delivery outcomes

About you:

You are a well-rounded cyber security professional with experience operating across security engineering, risk, and compliance within complex environments.

You bring a structured approach to problem-solving, a solid understanding of security frameworks, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders to deliver practical, compliant outcomes.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and operating Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Information Security Manual (ISM)
    • Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
    • ISO 27001 and related standards
  • Experience across the end-to-end security lifecycle, including:
    • Security requirements definition
    • Security architecture and design
    • Implementation and integration support
  • Understanding of:
    • Certification and accreditation processes
    • Security audit, assessment, and assurance activities
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
