Pay Range: $18.32- $22.90/hr | $38,109 - $47,636 annual compensation

A Customer Service Representative ll – Automotive is available with the City of Fort Worth Property Management Department. The Property Management Department, Fleet Division, plays a large part in providing support for all City departments serving our residents.  The Fleet Division is the “glue” which keeps the City equipment and vehicles in a mechanically sound state and safe for all employees and residents. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Two years’ responsible customer service experience within the area of assignment 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference may be given to higher levels of education, experience and certifications as related to the vacancy
  • Preference may be given to applicants who are knowledgeable with the Fleet Repair Management Software Programs and industry
  • Preference may be given to applicants that have automotive service center experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and computer usage

The Customer Service Representative II- Heavy Diesel Shop job responsibilities include:

  • Perform various organizational duties in support of the Service Centers.
  • Work in a shop environment with varying temperatures.
  • Researching and collecting information to prepare, produce work project status data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to liaison with customers resolving fleet questions.
  • Ability to liaison with 3rd party vendors to schedule equipment repairs.
  • Ability to coordinate vendor activities and monitor vendor progression.
  • Ability to interact with multiple customers
  • Must be willing to work daily in a shop environment, follow safety protocols, adapt with weather changes, and shop noise.
  • Dedication to empathetic complete customer service.

Working Conditions and Physical Demand

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking and repetitive motions. Working in various types of weather conditions.

Light Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
