Job Description

Job Profile – Payment Exceptions Agent

Position Summary

As a Junior Payment Exceptions Agent, you will be part of a dynamic operations team responsible for identifying and resolving payment-related issues. Your role will focus on supporting accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, particularly those requiring manual intervention, including manual invoice creation. You will collaborate with internal teams such as Investment Sales, Compliance, and Back-Office Operations to ensure smooth workflows and regulatory compliance.

This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start or grow their career in financial operations. You will receive training and guidance to develop skills in payment processing, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and investigate exceptions in financial systems.
  • Perform manual invoice creation and adjustments in settlement systems.
  • Respond to operational queries and assist internal teams with issue resolution.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior team members or relevant departments.
  • Document actions taken and maintain accurate records in line with company procedures.
  • Prepare basic reports and summaries using Excel.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Learn and apply regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to payment operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance, economics, or business is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English & Polish at B2 level (Upper-Intermediate), both written and spoken.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy – work involves repetitive and meticulous tasks.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (sorting, formulas, tables).
  • Interest in financial services and operational processes.
  • Patience and ability to handle tedious, detail-oriented work effectively.

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
