Not quite qualified for a Line Cook role? No problem! We are also hiring for other positions within our Culinary Department and encourage you to attend.

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Coordinate production of menu items for special events

  • Adjust food quantities based on park guest attendance

  • Maintain a positive, energetic attitude while delivering high-quality food

  • Assist in leading daily kitchen operations and special events in the absence of management

  • Read menus, estimate food requirements, and procure food from suppliers or storage

  • Oversee and coordinate food delivery to event locations

  • Operate and regulate kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, broilers, roasters, and steam kettles

  • Measure, mix, season, bake, roast, broil, and steam a variety of foods

  • Taste, smell, and visually inspect food to ensure quality and standards are met

  • Portion and plate food with sauces, gravies, and garnishes

  • Deliver excellent customer service by meeting guest needs and expectations

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What It Takes to Succeed

  • 2 years of related culinary experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic math skills

  • Ability to lift/move up to 55 pounds

  • Ability to stand for extended periods in hot and/or cold environments

  • Frequent use of hands, arms, and physical movement (stooping, kneeling, reaching, etc.)

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Positive interaction with guests and coworkers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities

  • Ability to successfully pass required food handler exams

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Culinary certificate preferred

  • Resume required

  • Availability to work up to 29 hours per week, 3–4 days per week, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, late evenings, and night shifts
