The Wealth Management & Insurance division covers three businesses in all Santander Group countries: Insurance, Asset Management and Private Banking. We work to provide the best solutions to our clients in these three businesses in the 10 countries where we are present.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

The Wealth Management & Insurance division is looking for a CRO & Experimentation Lead Sr. Analyst based out of Madrid.

We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

Experimentation Roadmap

  • Define and maintain a global experimentation roadmap aligned with strategic growth priorities in collaboration with Global Marketing Team.

  • Identify high-impact optimization opportunities across digital insurance journeys (Auto, Home, Health, etc.).

  • Translate business objectives and customer insights into structured test hypotheses.

  • Prioritize experiments based on expected business value, customer impact and feasibility.

  • Ensure alignment between CRO initiatives and Product, Growth and Paid Media strategies.

Global Testing Framework

  • Design and maintain a standardized global testing framework, including:

    • Test design methodology

    • Hypothesis structure

    • Statistical validation criteria

    • Documentation standards

    • Governance processes

  • Define minimum experimentation standards for countries.

  • Ensure consistency in measurement, reporting and learning documentation.

  • Partner with the Digital Analytics Lead and Global Marketing Teams to ensure correct attribution and impact measurement.

  • Support local markets in implementing A/B and multivariate testing correctly

Behavioral Science Application

  • Integrate behavioral science principles into digital journey optimization.

  • Diagnose behavioral barriers to conversion (friction, cognitive overload, trust signals, framing, etc.).

  • Redesign choice architecture (sequencing, defaults, simplification, anchoring).

  • Collaborate with UX and Product teams to embed behavioral insights into design decisions.

  • Promote customer-centric and psychologically informed experimentation approaches across markets

Scaling Winning Tests Across Markets

  • Identify high-performing experiments and assess scalability potential.

  • Develop playbooks to replicate successful tests across countries and products.

  • Coordinate cross-market rollout of validated improvements.

  • Ensure that learnings are shared systematically across the Insurance domain.

  • Monitor post-rollout performance and validate sustained impact.

Professional Experience

  • At least 7 years of professional experience, with 5+ years in CRO, experimentation or digital optimization roles. (Required)

  • Experience working in multinational, matrix organizations. (Required)

  • Experience in insurance or financial services. (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of insurance products and business models. (Preferred)

  • Experience working in international and multicultural environments. (Required)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Analytics, Engineering or related fields. (Required)

  • MBA or postgraduate studies. (Preferred)

Languages

  • Fluent in English and Spanish. (Required)

  • Portuguese is highly desirable.  (Preferred)

Hard Skills

  • Hands-on experience designing, executing and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests.

  • Strong knowledge of digital analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Adobe Target or similar). (Required)

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript to understand implementation constraints. (Required)

  • Strong analytical rigor combined with pragmatic execution mindset. (Required)

  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to detect subtle trends and performance drivers. (Required)

  • Solid knowledge of Conversion Rate Optimization and experimentation methodologies. (Required)

Soft Skills

  • Strong understanding of behavioral science and user psychology principles. (Required)

  • Ability to influence stakeholders across markets without formal authority. (Required)

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; a true people-oriented profile. (Preferred)
