SCOPE/CONTACTS: The Credit Reporting & Flood Specialist is responsible for the day‑to‑day execution of the Bank’s credit reporting and flood processes in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This role supports accurate credit data reporting, timely dispute resolution, and proper flood insurance review and monitoring.
The incumbent has frequent contact with lending staff, loan servicing, operations teams, customers, and third‑party vendors, and works under the guidance of the Credit Reporting & Flood Program Manager. Accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to documented procedures are critical to this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Credit Reporting Responsibilities:
- Participate in activities related to furnishing accurate and timely information to consumer reporting agencies in accordance with Bank procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain records necessary to substantiate the accuracy of information furnished, including documentation related to disputes and verifications.
- Research, investigate, and respond to credit bureau disputes.
- Work with the appropriate parties to delete, update, or correct information in Bank systems to prevent the furnishing of inaccurate credit information.
- Ensure compliance with applicable FCRA requirements when performing all credit reporting activities.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external parties regarding credit reporting inquiries or corrections.
Flood Process Responsibilities:
- Review flood determinations and related documentation to confirm whether properties are located in special flood hazard areas requiring flood insurance.
- Verify flood insurance coverage for adequacy, policy type (NFIP or private), coverage amounts, and insured structures in accordance with Bank and regulatory requirements.
- Correspond with lending and operations staff to obtain documentation necessary for final flood approval.
- Support the monitoring and remapping process to ensure adequate flood insurance coverage throughout the life of the loan.
General
- Maintain accurate records, loan file documentation, and system updates to support auditability and data integrity.
- Adhere to established procedures, internal controls, and service standards.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Actively support the Bank’s Customer Service culture, values, and established policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent certification with 12 months of administrative experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but may substitute for experience.
- Knowledge of consumer and commercial loan regulations and working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures preferred.
- The incumbent must have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat software. Familiarity with other features of Microsoft’s Office suite of applications will be helpful.

- Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks, meet demanding deadlines, and perform daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements
