Credit Operations Specialist - Home Improvement Finance Partners

Job Description

Home Improvement Finance Partners, LLC (HIFP) is a full-service consumer finance company that specializes in providing flexible financing programs to the home improvement industry. We are now hiring for our team!

The Credit Operations Specialist serves as the primary communications hub for the customer service and underwriting teams. This role is designed to provide exceptional service to existing customers while acting as a critical liaison between our field sales team and the underwriting department. This position may works nights and weekends as needed (off Sunday).

Responsibilities:

• Sales Liaison & Underwriting Support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for home improvement salesmen regarding new and pending credit applications.
  • Provide real-time status updates on applications and relay underwriter requests for additional documentation or clarification.
  • Bridge the gap between field sales needs and underwriting guidelines to ensure a smooth application flow.
  • Gather missing "stipulations" (ID, proof of income, etc.) from salesmen or customers before passing the file back to an underwriter for final review.
• Customer Service
  • Handle inbound calls from homeowners who have already financed projects.
  • Assist with inquiries regarding account status, billing questions, and general loan servicing.
  • Answer incoming customer service emails with empathy and professionalism.
• Data & Asset Protection:
  • Ensure 100% compliance with "Clean Desk" policies and data privacy laws.
• Hardware Stewardship:
  • Maintain the physical condition and security of any company-issued devices (laptops, monitors, etc.) to prevent damage or unauthorized access.

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in banking or customer service
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination software
