Role Overview:
To evaluate portfolio risks, make credit decisions as per mandate and interacts with other departments regarding credit management strategies.
Are you someone who can:
- Optimize asset growth while minimizing financial risk and bad debts.
- Identify, control and escalate potential risks which may lead to non-performing loans.
- Manage costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies.
- Deliver against operational and cost targets.
- Prioritise resource allocation to minimise and reduce wastage.
- Collaborate closely with relevant business units and business product houses as per strategy to identify revenue opportunities.
- Resolve customer dissatisfaction/complaints by taking ownership of the problem.
- Analyse customer feedback to help improve customer service.
- Ensure that delivery is accurate, timeous and of an acceptable standard.
- Ensure that product or service knowledge and advice is technically accurate.
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Credit, Accounting or any related field.
- Have 5 or more years’ experience in a credit related environment.
- Have strong understanding of credit risk principles, financial analysis, and lending practices.
- Have excellent analytical, loan decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Are proficiency in Microsoft Office, credit systems and risk modelling.
- Ensure a turnaround time that reflects efficiency, responsiveness and service quality.
- Can monitor your portfolio and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Can oversee the lending operations of the department, leading the credit analysts and provide mentorship and training.
- Have banking or financial Industry experience is an added advantage.
- Have strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities.
