DESCRIPTION:
Join our Finance team as a Credit Analyst II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute to managing credit exposure and collections for our organization. You'll analyze customer portfolios, conduct risk assessments, and implement process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. This position offers excellent opportunities to develop your expertise in credit management while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Working with analytical tools and multiple ERP systems, you'll manage customer accounts, conduct financial analyses, and implement credit policies to optimize cash flow and minimize risk. You'll serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to team members while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Your analytical mindset and customer-focused approach will be essential in supporting collection efficiency, meeting KPIs, and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in credit analysis, collections, or related finance role
• Preferred Fields of Study: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Advanced university coursework or equivalent professional certifications preferred
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with credit management tools (Cforia, GetPaid) preferred
• B2+ English proficiency with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in shared services environment preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage customer portfolios and resolve escalations
• Comprehensive knowledge of credit control policies and procedures
• Effective negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
• Experience with process improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated success in meeting collection targets and KPIs
• Customer-centric mindset with professional demeanor
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions
• Commitment to continuous learning and process optimization

Additional Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with Cforia and/or Get Paid.
