The Credit Analyst I will be responsible for performing credit and collections functions in their portfolio in accordance with the department goals and objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform tasks related to credit and collections and overall accounts receivable management. Heavy in credit with minor collections
- Ability to approve credit inquiries and order releases
- Prepare and submit credit adjustments
- Generate account statements
- Identify issues needing escalation
- Recommend credit limits for accounts within team's portfolio
- Collections would include reviewing the accounts that require credit releases / credit reviews
- Other duties, as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma and/or equivalent
- Experience with electronic billing (ADP, Oildex, EDI)
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience managing portfolio; basic understanding of reconciliations
- Possess strong Collections experience and accustomed to handling a high volume of Credit inquiries
- Skilled in authorizing Credit decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adept and multi-tasking and prioritizing
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
- Problem solving skills and detailed oriented to assist in identifying discrepancies
