Overview
Works under the direct supervision of the Medical Staff Coordinator. Primary responsibility is the processing of applications for appointment and/or clinical privileges within Riverside Health. Also responsible for ensuring the credentialing data is up-to-date, tracking expirations for renewal, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and processing of affiliation verification requests.
What you will do
- Completes, submits and follows up on the initial applications and reappointment applications with the applicants timely. Information is updated in the credentialing data base and made available on an as needed basis.
- Maintains and updates appropriate databases for credentialed providers.
- Maintains all accessed information in a confidential manner.
- Notifies providers of regulatory documents (expirables) needed for maintenance of data base and credential files as appropriate to their responsibilities.
- Ongoing review of all applications processed to ensure compliance with credentialing standards.
- Responsible for responding to and sending requests for external affiliation verifications in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
Experience
- Provider Credentialing (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) - National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) (Preferred)
