Department Overview

The Wealth Investment Office (WIO) sets the standard for investment strategy and management at TD Wealth. It is also a marketing center driving a financial markets communication and engagement ecosystem. We create, design, and publish compelling commentary and sales enablement tools. We also produce digital investment content, including web, social media, and video, and host investment conferences, regional summits, roadshows, and major events.

Job Description

As part of the Investment Marketing Team, the  Creative Design Specialist will be responsible for the creation of high quality, visually compelling internal & external marketing materials including publications, presentations, reports, and sales collateral that describe and promote the Wealth Investment Office, its brand, services & resources.

The successful candidate will:

  • Create, design, and develop marketing materials, including investment research reports and publications, marketing collateral, profiles, and event materials such as invites and presentations.

  • Responsible for formatting and design of PowerPoint decks and other presentation material

  • Work closely with the marketing team and other WIO team members to ensure a cohesive relationship between copy, design, production, print, fulfilment etc.

  • Support basic design projects and the development of marketing visuals such as charts, graphics, social media content, internal email communication templates, and event materials.

  • Update and maintain visual templates for presentations, reports, and proposals.

  • Maintain brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries and introducing fresh design ideas.

  • Stay current on design trends, technologies, and tools to continuously elevate our visual identity.

  • Exercise understanding of WIO business objectives and ensure the delivery of consistent, high quality branded materials/editorial that align with business objectives.

  • Produce creative work within brand standards, and support development of new interpretations of the brand standards with out-of-the-box approaches to grow the verbal and visual identity of the brand; leverage brand expertise to provide direction on the development of innovative creative solutions.

Required Skills

  • Diploma, degree, or certificate in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5 or more years of experience in design, content production, or visual communication roles.

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), with excellent formatting skills.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects).

  • Experience working within a marketing team and an understanding of marketing best practices, and marketing tools/platforms.

  • Creative, innovative, and proactive with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to follow brand and compliance guidelines.

  • Experience using Canva or similar tools, video editing and basic animation are a plus.
