Job Description

ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

Job Description

Our Central-West Orana REZ Project is currently seeking Crane Truck Operators to share their expertise with our transmission line laydown team.

Successful candidates will be required to travel and live in Merotherie, NSW on a 14/7 roster, working up to 12 hour days.

Camp facilities include dry and wet mess, recreational activities room, covered sports field, outdoor sports field, gym, medical centre, BBQ areas, community room and an onsite convenience store, in addition to a competitive remuneration package in accordance with the Acciona Construction Australia NSW Transmission Enterprise Agreement 2024 – 2028.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe lifting, movement and positioning of transmission line materials and equipment
  • Operating 8x8 crane truck
  • Carrying out safety checks on machinery and equipment daily
  • Communicating and working efficiently with dogmen, riggers and other warehouse personnel
  • Calculating load weight to ensure safe lifting
  • Assisting other workforce with manual tasks where necessary

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in large scale infrastructure/renewable projects highly desirable
  • High Risk Work License – C6, DG, RG
  • Construction white card
  • Full HR class driver’s license at minimum
  • Own vehicle
  • Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and police check
  • Exceptional communication skills and safety standards
