  • Salary Level HEW 6 + 17% Superannuation

  • Based at the Melbourne CBD, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.

About You
 

The VE Senior Services Officer will work in a shared services model for the College of Vocational Education. This setup allows the officer to assist various College functions as needed, offering a broad range of experience and knowledge.

This role includes providing strong administrative support to several College teams, such as Planning & Resources, Learning & Teaching Innovation and Quality, and Partnerships. The officer will also help with education delivery. Key tasks include coordinating projects, organizing events, and offering administrative and project advice across the College.

The VE Senior Services Officer must provide excellent customer service to staff and students. They will help coordinate and engage in activities, which include student lifecycle services, course and program management, information management, events, and improving processes. The officer will also handle complex queries from staff and students and build effective working relationships to ensure timely solutions.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

1. Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.


2. Excellent problem-solving skills, including demonstrated experience developing and delivering complex written reports to a high standard and with a high level of attention to detail.


3. Experience in providing high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders and experience managing complex queries in a fast-paced, large scale environment.

4. High level communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.


5. Ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative, by working independently and with limited direction, as well as effectively within a dynamic small team environment.


6. Proven significant administrative experience in planning, organising and prioritising work in a busy environment with multiple and conflicting priorities and competing deadlines.


7. Expertise in developing, recommending and implementing changes and improvements to administrative procedures and functions.


8. Ability to use information and communication technologies effectively, including Microsoft suite, web and email software and database use.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification and/or relevant customer service and administration experience.
