Elekta is a global leader in precision radiation medicine, striving every day to advance human care. We are now seeking an exceptional Country Manager & Sales Director to lead our commercial and operational strategy across a dynamic multi‑country territory covering Romania (Direct), and Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia (Indirect).

As the Country Manager & Sales Director, you will:
Define and execute the full go‑to‑market strategy for your territory, ensuring Elekta’s solutions reach hospitals and clinicians who need them most.
Serve as Elekta’s appointed management representative for the Quality Management System (QMS) and hold legal entity representation where applicable.
Lead cross‑functional teams—Sales, Service, Order Fulfilment and Support—to drive growth, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction.
Represent Elekta to government authorities, healthcare administrations and key decision‑makers, shaping market access and long-term partnership success.
Be fully accountable for order intake, revenue, profitability, and operational execution, ensuring alignment with regional business objectives.
Map market potential for Radiotherapy, Brachytherapy, Neurosurgery and Software solutions and translate insights into actionable plans.
Identify and convert new customer opportunities, while expanding Elekta’s footprint in existing accounts.
Lead distributor management across indirect markets, driving capability, compliance and long-term partnership success.
Ensure adherence to Elekta’s QMS, regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
Maintain and update regulatory strategic plans to support new product introductions.
Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary country team, ensuring high performance, collaboration and employee engagement.
Partner closely with Service to ensure operational excellence and a seamless customer experience.
Own the country budget, forecasts and resource allocation.
Champion adoption of core digital tools including CLM, Movex, Workday and Coupa.
Report market dynamics, business risks, opportunities, and customer insights to senior leadership.
Proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in capital equipment or similarly complex medical technology markets.
Strong understanding of direct and distributor-based sales models.
Familiarity with Elekta’s portfolio or the medical devices industry is a strong advantage.
Experience working in complex, multicultural, matrixed organizations.
A strategic thinker with strong ethical judgement and integrity.
A persuasive communicator capable of influencing senior healthcare stakeholders.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the resilience to navigate diverse and evolving markets.
A motivating leader who develops people and builds high-performing teams.
Bachelor’s degree in science, clinical, engineering, or business (or equivalent experience).
Fluent in English; additional regional languages highly beneficial.
Ability to travel extensively (up to 80%).
