Team/Role Overview:
The Country HR Officer (CHRO) & Banking HR Advisor leads the HR function in our dynamic and growing Nordic sub-cluster (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark), ensuring the highest standard and quality of HR services and functional governance. The role is based in Sweden and limited business travel may occur.
The successful incumbent accomplishes results through the coordination of professional teams and specialist disciplines, integrating subject matter and industry expertise. The role requires in-depth understanding of how HR specialist disciplines collectively integrate, collaborate, and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. It requires someone with excellent communication and diplomacy skills and sound commercial acumen to advise, influence and convince internal and, occasionally external, stakeholders.
What you'll do:
- Lead the HR function in the provision of the highest standard and quality of HR advice, service, and governance.
- Align and integrate HR priorities from a geographic, franchise and business perspective.
- Serve as trusted advisor to the Nordics sub-cluster & Banking Head as well as the Citi Country Officers & Banking Heads of each country in the Nordics to ensure the optimum and safe delivery of franchise, business, and HR goals.
- Provide best-in class Nordics HR expertise and consultancy to a broad variety of HR stakeholders around the globe.
- Partner with HR specialist disciplines to implement HR initiatives across the full HR value chain, and compliant with prevailing law and regulation.
- Be an ambassador of the remote HR model, facilitating the efficient delivery of end-to-end, high-quality HR services.
- Drive enhanced performance and talent management practices for critical, country specific leadership roles and influence talent, performance, and mobility decisions in the best interests of the overall Citi franchise.
- Ensure and manage overall the HR governance, regulatory and legislative compliance from an internal and external perspective across the Nordic countries and related legal entities.
- Represent Citi HR vis-à-vis local authorities, unions, auditors as well external industry bodies and networks.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Citi policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
What we'll need from you:
- Recognised leader with proven record of successfully delivering HR initiatives and projects in a complex and matrixed organisation, often with tight deadlines and high volumes of work.
- Proven ability in working within, and navigating, a remote HR operating model.
- Exceptional consultation, influencing and diplomacy skills.
- Highly effective relationship building and partnership skills, demonstrating a proactive and client centric attitude.
- High tolerance for dealing with ambiguity, on-going change and shifting priorities.
- Resilient under pressure and self-motivated in a fast paced and demanding environment.
- Able and willing to "roll up the sleeves to get it done" as well as being a strategic advisor.
- Keen focus on ‘process improvement’ to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the services offered.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources Management, Business, or related discipline.
- Relevant HR experience in Sweden, ideally including the financial industry and coverage of other countries in the Nordics (e.g. Denmark, Finland or Norway).
- Professional fluency (written/spoken) in Swedish and English language.
