Job Description:
Business Overview
Rakuten's Ad & Media Company offers a wide range of advertising and marketing services, including digital advertising, research, and influencer businesses.
Our strength is our ability to provide end-to-end solutions, from marketing strategy planning and execution to effectiveness measurement and data analysis.
Specifically, we solve our clients' marketing challenges through the following businesses.
- Rakuten Marketing/LinkShare: Provides general digital marketing solutions.
- Rakuten Data Marketing: Provides marketing solutions utilizing Rakuten's big data.
- Rakuten Insight: Provides marketing research services.
This is an environment where you can grow and advance your career by working within an organization that is at the core of the Rakuten Group.
Department Overview
Rakuten Insight, Inc. is a company that provides marketing research to clients both inside and outside the Rakuten Group.
By combining Rakuten Group's vast data assets with AI technology, we deepen our understanding of consumers through "research x data x AI" and help solve our clients' business challenges. We are setting new standards in the industry through the development and provision of research products that incorporate AI.
Even within the Rakuten Group, expectations are rising for new data businesses that leverage our unique and vast data assets. In December 2024, we reorganized our operations to integrate Rakuten Insight, Inc., Rakuten Insight Global, Inc., and the Super Mini-Baito business, creating a system for creating even stronger synergies in data utilization.
Within this organization, the Corporate Supervisory Department oversees corporate functions such as human resources, labor, legal affairs, general affairs, accounting, internal control, risk management, and information security. It is an organization that builds the foundation to support management and the field as an "aggressive corporate" that ensures continuous business growth.
In January 2026, Rakuten Insight, Inc. and Rakuten Insight Global, Inc. will merge, and the company will enter a phase of expansion and transformation to achieve more strategic and sustainable growth for its business, which spans seven countries (Singapore, UK, USA, Malaysia, China, South Korea, and India).
Position:
Why We Hire
For this position, we are seeking an immediately effective individual who will not only focus on governance, compliance, and internal controls as a defensive measure, but will also connect management and the field and drive forward corporate transformation.
Specifically, as the scale of our business expands and grows, issues have become apparent, such as the raising of standards for responding to governance risks, including at overseas bases, the increasing dependency on individuals for tasks, and the decentralized control and management situation both domestically and internationally.
Through our efforts to date, we have been able to identify "who is struggling, where, and with what."
The next step is to centrally organize these issues, set priorities, and put them into motion as a system.
As a core player in this effort, we are seeking a managerial candidate who can lead the planning, proposal, and execution process directly under the general manager.
Key Attractions
- Corporate Transformation Driver
This role involves moving forward on issues where there is no clear solution by clarifying the issues, building consensus, and implementing them.
- Close proximity to management and clear division of roles
Policy decisions are made by the general manager, and this position is responsible for translating those policies into actual operations.
The general manager takes on final responsibility and political coordination with the group, allowing you to focus on execution.
- Real-world experience, including with overseas subsidiaries
While addressing gaps between local practices and group standards, you will design governance and compliance that "runs smoothly as a system" rather than relying on individuals.
- An environment where initiative is rewarded
Those who raise their hands and take action will have greater discretion and more opportunities to take on challenges.
- Realistic career opportunities
This position offers a clear path to managerial and, in the future, general manager and corporate responsibility, including overseas.
Position Details
This position involves formulating hypotheses, testing them, and improving them to solidify the issues into systems.
We do not require perfect system design or expertise in all areas from the start.
We first understand the current situation, create a draft, and then refine it through discussion.
Through this process, you will gradually acquire a corporate perspective and the ability to execute.
In particular, in 2026, we will promote strengthening governance and compliance at overseas subsidiaries as a top priority.

- Coordinate and build consensus with management and business divisions
