  • ​​Monitor news trends and relevant stories in tech, finance, and policy sectors.
  • Assist in writing and editing communications materials such as blog posts, press releases, media pitches, internal announcements, and FAQs.
  • Help coordinate with PR agencies or partners (e.g., scheduling meetings, tracking deliverables).
  • Contribute to internal newsletters, company announcements, and leadership communication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams like People, Legal, and Product to craft clear and consistent messaging.
  • Help benchmark Carta’s communications efforts against competitors or industry best practices.

The Team You'll Work With

You’ll be joining our Global Communications team, Carta’s storytelling engine – strategically shaping and sharing the narratives that define who we are, what we do, and why it matters. As a multidisciplinary team, we lead global PR campaigns, drive engaging content marketing initiatives, manage internal communications, and amplify our voice across social media and community channels. Whether we’re announcing market-shaping news, elevating thought leadership, or keeping employees informed and connected, our team turns complex ideas into powerful stories that inspire action, build trust, and grow Carta’s brand around the world.

About You

The right candidate for this role should include the following abilities: 

  • Scrappy. You have the mindset to roll up your sleeves to get the things done
  • A self-starter. The environment we operate in moves fast. Looking for someone who operates on quick starts versus perfection. 
  • Curiosity. Comms members are encouraged to ask questions,openly give feedback, and question the status quo in order to enact change.
  • Team player. Genuine interest in collaborating cross-functionally 
  • High EQ. Communicators must understand how messages will be perceived by different audiences. High EQ enables you to anticipate reactions and tailor content accordingly. 
  • Bachelor degree. Ideally in English or Communications.

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is: $75,000 - $80,000. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
