If you are a student in final year of studies in the field of IT, join our software engineering internship program that starts in July 2026 and get a chance to land your first job at Infobip.
What this role is all about
As a Core Network Intern at Infobip, you will be part of the Engineering department — the team behind one of the world's largest cloud communication platforms. You'll get hands-on experience with the network infrastructure that keeps millions of connections running seamlessly across the globe. Working alongside senior network engineers, you'll learn how large-scale networks are designed, monitored, and maintained — from routers and firewalls to traffic analysis and performance optimization. This is your opportunity to turn classroom networking concepts into real-world skills, while contributing to projects that have a genuine impact on how the world communicates.
What you'll do:
Assist in monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
Support troubleshooting of network connectivity and performance issues
Help analyze logs and network traffic for potential problems
Participate in network configuration and documentation tasks
Collaborate with senior engineers on ongoing projects and improvements
Learn and apply networking concepts in real-world environments
What makes you a strong fit:
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, OSI model)
Familiarity with networking equipment (preferably Cisco)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and proactive attitude
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
You are a graduate (MA) or final year undergraduate (BA) student
You have valid student rights from Studentski centar (can work on student contract for the duration of the internship)
Nice-to-have qualifications:
Familiarity with Linux or scripting (Python is a plus)
Basic knowledge of network security concepts (IPsec, VPN, firewalls, ACLs)
Experience with tools like Wireshark or similar
Understanding of monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, Grafana, or similar)
Completed or currently attending a CCNA-level networking course
Internship timeline:
Application deadline (mid-May)
Imocha online testing (by the end of May)
Interviews and selection process feedback (June)
Start of internship program (July 6th)
Orientation week in Zagreb Infobip campus (July 6th – 17th)
Working with the mentor and within a team (July – January)
End of the internship program (January)
