Job Description:
Coaches student organization leaders through organizational challenges. Acts as a leadership consultant for student organization officers and leaders by coordinating workshops and training on an as-needed basis. May serve as a consultant and trainer.
Serves as a key advocate for registered student organizations and develops programs and services that enhances the learning experience, leadership capacity, and sense of belonging for student organization members. Contributes to an active, healthy, and engaged registered student organization community, providing a dedicated point of service and support. Serves as a member of the Student Engagement & Development team and has shared responsibility for the achievement of departmental goals and assessment initiatives.
Job Duties
- Supports student organizations by advising on event planning, logistics, and implementation, while empowering student leaders to navigate processes with confidence and creativity. Provides guidance and access for campus resources, including organization accounts, T-SPACE reservation access and approval, and campus policies and procedures to student organizations. Advises student organizations in financial management and fosters responsible stewardship of resources. Leads the planning and implementation of fall and spring campus-wide Student Involvement Fairs to connect students with engagement opportunities. Serves as the lead administrator for the Student Organization Liaison Program, coordinating staff across the University to provide organizations with dedicated mentorship and holistic support.
- Supports continued implementation and use of a student organization database platform that enables the collection of student organization rosters, annual registration, and event information forms, among other features. This may include but is not limited to tracking student engagement through a badging program, event tracking support, and maintaining accurate data and records.
- Acts as a resource regarding university, local, state, and federal policies and laws and provides training and support on issues of risk management as directed by the state of Texas. On an annual basis, facilitates the review of relevant student organization policies, including the Student Organization Handbook.
- Coordinates and maintains the annual student organization recognition and training processes for approximately 100+ student organizations, which includes but is not limited to planning and execution of the LeeRoy’s to recognize excellence in student organizations and fraternity & sorority life including oversight of the nomination and selection process. Plans and executes the RSO Summit, New Presidents Meetings, and various training (including Risk Management Training, T-SPACE training) for approximately 150 incoming student leaders of student organizations, including recruiting and training a student team that helps implement programming.

- Collaborates with other Student Life staff and participates in the life of the University by serving on committees, attending functions, and being available for special assignments.
- Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.
- Represents the University in relevant professional organizations.
- Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
