Description:
The Convocation Usher plays an important role during McGill University’s convocation ceremonies. The usher assists with the smooth and organized running of all downtown campus ceremonies and ensures that guests have access to all pertinent information. Among various related duties, ushers are responsible for greeting, assisting, and showing guests to their seats, and ensuring their comfort. It is essential that ushers respond well to stressful situations and maintain the utmost composure and courtesy.

Reporting to: Clara Spadafora, Assistant Registrar, Convocation and Communication, Enrolment Services
Qualifications:
Candidates must be customer focused and service oriented with a proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels. Demonstrated ability to clearly receive, retain and transmit information. Proven organizational skills, multi-tasking, accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem solve and work under pressure.
Must have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number (S.I.N.)
