Role Purpose

The Control Room Lead is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Security Control Room, ensuring continuous monitoring of terminal systems, accurate incident reporting, and timely escalation of events. The role plays a critical part in supporting safe and secure terminal operations by ensuring that security processes are executed in a structured, efficient, and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and strengthen security awareness across all levels of the organization
  • Oversee the effectiveness of security operations within the Control Room
  • Ensure compliance with contractual quality standards related to guarding services
  • Monitor and enhance security measures to mitigate potential risks
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality reporting of incidents and activities
  • Manage and evaluate Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM)
  • Support effective emergency and incident response processes
  • Contribute to Travel Risk and Journey Management activities

Accountabilities

  • Provide security guidance and support to internal stakeholders
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee daily security operations and activities
  • Monitor and ensure performance of external security service providers
  • Prepare detailed incident reports using internal systems
  • Support HSE initiatives through inspections, supervision, and enforcement of rules
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring security procedures and controls
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across operations
  • Ensure daily reporting and performance tracking of security activities
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and investigations
  • Conduct security trainings, drills, and awareness sessions
  • Advise operational teams on current security risks and issues
  • Support response to security incidents and ensure availability of required resources
  • Manage port/terminal access control processes
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations of guarding providers
  • Support crisis management preparedness and implementation of action plans
  • Drive continuous improvement of HSSE processes and systems

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree (Bac +5) in a technical, logistics, or related field
  • Previous experience in security operations is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of security risk identification and management is an advantage
  • First Aid and Firefighting certification is a plus

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic, French, and English
  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in critical situations
  • High attention to detail and reporting accuracy
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
