Contractor - Wells Technical Aide

The Wells Technical Aide provides essential technical, administrative, and logistical support to Hilcorp Wells Operations on the North Slope. This role serves as a central coordination point for well activity tracking, system administration, scheduling, documentation, travel coordination, and office operations. The position ensures continuity across hitches, accuracy of well data, and efficient communication between operations, engineering, contractors, and support teams. This position is considered a springboard to a full time Hilcorp role in the Anchorage Office as a Financial Analyst, Regulatory Tech or similar role.

Key Responsibilities

Wells Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain and support AWGRS (Alaska Wells Group Reporting System), JMS-PE(Job Management System Slope), and JMS-APE(Job Management System -Anchorage)
  • Perform daily data synchronization, cleanup, quality control, and reporting
  • Approve and manage WBL (Well/Work Back Log) jobs, revisions, and job scopes
  • Upload, organize, and control well documentation.

Scheduling & Operational Support

  • Support daily and weekly Wells meetings and operational coordination
  • Track WSS time outside PBU and report on Ballot 303.
  • Maintain the PE Schedule for personnel rotations, PTO, and training

Administrative & Office Support

  • Coordinate/arrange flight requests, changes, and cancellations.
  • Support contractor and vendor travel, billeting, and access requirements
  • Oversee office supplies, and shared resources
  • Manage distribution lists, contact lists, and Wells group communications
  • Support onboarding by coordinating system access, laptops, and other equipment.
  • Act as a central point of contact for Wells Operations communications
  • Ensure data accuracy, document control, and adherence to established processes
  • Monitor reports for errors or discrepancies and coordinate resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Must be an Alaskan resident or planning to move to Alaska.
  • Must be willing to work in Anchorage if requested.
  • May have additional training requirements in the Anchorage Office.
  • Ability to rotate 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off on the North Slope of Alaska.
