Contracting Coordinator I

Job Summary

The Contracting Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting agents, agencies, and internal staff throughout the insurance contracting and onboarding process. This position oversees the contract lifecycle, ensures compliance with regulations, maintains strong customer relationships, and provides outstanding support to both external and internal partners. The coordinator is responsible for accurate data entry, contract management, and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initial request to contract termination, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Document incoming agent contracts and follow appropriate workflows for processing.
  • Prepare contracts for submission, including scrubbing, collecting missing information, and reaching out to agents for required items.
  • Follow up on submitted contracts and notify agents when writing numbers are received.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents and agencies, proactively addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Ensure strict adherence to contracting regulations, procedures, and procurement laws.
  • Resolve service-related issues for agents and marketers, collaborating with management to improve processes.
  • Ensure payment levels are entered and assigned correctly; maintain accurate data entry and records management.
  • Provide outstanding customer support and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional education or relevant certifications a plus.
  • 0-2 years of data entry or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with insurance contracts and levels is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass background check, pre-hire drug screening, and monthly OIG/SAM Exclusion List checks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours during peak times.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities; able to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
