Summary
This role is located in Nowra Australia at HMAS Albatrosss Seahawk Simulation and Warfare Center (SSWC). This role will support the US Government and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) in the delivery of Maintenance and training for existing and future training devices. This role will primarily focus on cyber support, but will also provide system integration support and Live Virtual Constructive training (LVC)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain and manage the SEE/VDL
Provide cyber STIG and patch updates to the SEE/VDL
Download and test STIG and patch updates for the RAN Tactical Operational Flight Trainers (TOFTSs) on the SEE/VDL before installation
Install STIG and patch updates on the RAN training TOFTsdevices
Complete regression testing of RAN TOFTs devices to verify functionality post STIG and patch update
Assist the Information Technology Security Officer (ITSO) in maintaining and improving the Australian-unique cyber posture at the SSWC.
Use software to test cyber vulnerabilities
Apply patches and STIGs to RAN devices
Assist with the installation of software licenses as required
Assist in updating and maintaining cyber CDRLs
Assist the ITSO in developing reports for the monthly Integrated Program Team (IPT)
Configure, maintain, and monitor the Facility Access Node (FAN) firewall to protect the site from intrusion
Configure the FAN for LVC events
Configure and Ttest the TOFT connection to the Distributed Training Experimental Network
Prepare the TOFTs for Distributed events, including supporting planning conferences and exercises
Support the RAN TOFT devices prior during and after DTEN events
Document device malfunctions and system limitations during distributed training events.
Make recommendations for improvement of training outcomes for distributed training events.
Support the site team in the execution of all items listed in the Contractor Engineering Services (CES) Performance Work Statement (PWS) which includes but is not limited to:
IOS updates
DAFIF Data Updates
MDL Updates
ATaS Tunning updates
LVC events
Assist the products team in the delivery of product upgrades and modifications.
Support as an Integration Specialist (IS) during product preparation, updates and delivery.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must have served three years or more as an Integration Specialist
Must have demonstrable previous experience with the installation of STIGs and patches on multi computer simulation systems
Bachelor’s degree computer engineering
Preferred Skills
Although not required these additional skills better align individuals to the role
Master’s Degree in computer science
Previous MH-60R aircraft systems familiarization
Cyber Security certifications
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Must hold a secret DoD Security Clearance.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
