Continuous Improvement Process Analyst – Lean Six Sigma Green Belt)

Department: Business Support - Operational Excellence
Location: Dublin (Hybrid)
Reports to: Operational Excellence Manager
Contract: 12 month Fixed-Term Contract

We are looking for a high-impact Continuous Improvement Analyst with strong Lean Six Sigma capability and a passion for solving operational problems at scale.

In this role, you will lead structured CI initiatives across Bord Gáis Energy, applying proven methodologies such as DMAIC, A3, VSM and PDCA to deliver measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, quality and customer experience.

This is a hands-on role focused on end-to-end delivery from opportunity identification and business case development through to implementation, benefits validation and post-go-live sustainability. The scope spans across the business, providing exposure to the full value chain and a wide range of stakeholders.

About the role:

1. Continuous Improvement Delivery

  • Lead multiple CI initiatives using Lean Six Sigma Green Belt standards.

  • Facilitate Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, root-cause analysis and process discovery workshops.

  • Define problems clearly through structured baselining, data analysis and financial modelling.

2. Data-Driven Problem Solving

  • Analyse operational data, customer metrics, cycle times, error rates, AHT and system defects to identify improvement levers.

  • Partner with Finance to validate OPEX savings, cost avoidance and efficiency gains.

3. Process Improvement & Standardisation

  • Redesign end-to-end processes to eliminate waste, reduce variation and improve first-time accuracy.

  • Develop standard work, controls and KPIs to sustain improvements post-implementation.

  • Collaborate with the ARIS team to ensure improved processes are accurately modelled and governed.

4. Cross-Functional Facilitation & Ownership

  • Engage SMEs, Team Leads, Product Owners, T&Q, Regulation, DTS and Operations to align on priorities, solutions and delivery plans.

  • Drive clarity on decision-making, ownership and timelines, escalating blockers where required.

  • Support value-based prioritisation of opportunities to focus effort on highest-impact initiatives.

5. Digital & Automation Enablement

  • Identify automation and digitisation opportunities in collaboration with RPA and DTS teams.

  • Support system change requests, user stories, acceptance criteria and business readiness activities.

6. Benefits Realisation & Reporting

  • Produce clear, concise updates for governance forums covering progress, risks and benefits.

  • Ensure improvements embed fully through control plans, monitoring and structured handover to the business.

Must-Have's

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification

  • 3-5+ years experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Business Transformation

  • Proven experience delivering structured CI projects end-to-end

  • Strong analytical capability (Excel / BI tools)

  • Confident workshop facilitator (VSM, RCA, SIPOC, 5 Whys, Fishbone)

  • Demonstrated delivery of validated financial benefits
