Huron’s Resource Management (RM) team members are trusted strategic advisors to our business leaders, delivering solutions that balance the needs of our people, our company, and our clients. The Resource Management team serves as the enterprise owners for workforce strategy, capacity planning, utilization optimization, and resourcing governance across all business units.
The Contingent Worker Talent Lead will lead the design and implementation of Huron’s Direct Sourcing program and marketplace. While direct sourcing will be a major focus area in year one, this role will also be responsible for talent sourcing across Huron’s full contingent workforce, ensuring the business has fast, reliable access to the right skills through the right channels. This role requires strong program management, cross functional influence, a deep understanding of business offerings, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organization. This role is foundational to Huron’s Total Talent strategy, unlocking faster access to talent and enabling a more agile, skills based workforce model at scale. This role will also facilitate sourcing through approved staffing suppliers in partnership with Procurement and Talent Acquisition to ensure a seamless, compliant fulfillment experience.
This position reports to the Corporate Vice President of Resource Management and will have direct supervisory responsibility for a team of Contingent Workforce Associates. This individual will serve as the business owner of the direct sourcing capability and broader contingent workforce sourcing strategy, partnering closely across Resource Management, Procurement, Talent Acquisition, Human Capital, and IT to deliver a compliant, scalable, and business aligned approach to sourcing and engaging project based talent.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Program Design & Execution
- Own and manage contingent talent sourcing across all project‑based worker channels
- Lead the direct sourcing marketplace program from design through implementation, aligned to Total Talent strategy and enterprise priorities
- Embed direct sourcing as the preferred fulfillment channel for eligible contingent needs before engaging staffing suppliers
- Define and run the end‑to‑end operating model (intake, sourcing, deployment/redeployment, performance management, talent engagement, and enterprise system integration)
- Manage demand intake for contingent needs; align scope and timing with stakeholders; and deliver qualified shortlists through sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and submission management with clear SLAs
- Build and manage non‑employee talent communities aligned to demand and workforce plans, including targeted outreach and engagement campaigns
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Marketing to align talent community branding, content, and engagement across channels
- Drive advocacy and adoption through change management, education, enablement, and measurable value realization
- Standardize reporting and insights (common definitions and metrics) and embed adoption in leadership routines
- Champion responsible AI‑enabled ways of working (decision support with human review and clear guardrails) and partner with the RM Operations, Technology & Data COE to prioritize scalable process and technology improvements
- Partner with Procurement, Talent Acquisition, and HR to engage approved staffing suppliers when needed, ensuring contract adherence, rate/tenure governance, worker classification, and compliant onboarding/offboarding
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders by anticipating needs and translating marketplace capabilities into practical delivery solutions
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and provide operational support to a team of Contingent Workforce Associates
- Contribute to Resource Management team growth through culture building, team development, recruiting, onboarding, and training
- Maintain a strong understanding of Huron’s offerings and delivery models; equip Contingent Workforce Associates with enterprise guidance, best practices, and escalation paths to deliver high‑quality outcomes
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding personnel matters
- Use data and operational insight to drive continuous improvement and standardization across enterprise resourcing processes
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall Resource Management objectives
Qualifications:

- Huron requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of related experience in resource management, talent operations, talent acquisition, staffing or vendor management required; professional services experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of contingent workforce models, sourcing strategies, or talent marketplaces preferred
- Demonstrable leadership experience managing and coaching people
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, utilizing intermediate to advanced functions and data aggregation / analysis techniques
- Experience with PowerBI, Visio, Smartsheets, SharePoint and Workday is preferred, but not required
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional initiatives or programs with enterprise impact
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and evolving processes, including the use of AI tools to enhance productivity and workflow
- Strong data management experience, particularly with high volumes of data
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to set up systems to easily recall important details
- Ability to multi-task and appropriately set / manage priorities
- Demonstrated ability to drive change, influence without authority, and operationalize strategy
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and execution skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, while also being an exceptional collaborator
- Interest in working in a dynamic setting and flexibility to manage time sensitive priorities

The estimated base salary range for this job is $110,000-$150,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $132,000-$180,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
