Content Writer (Customer Story Teller)

About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and creative Content Writer to support our Go‑to‑Market (GTM) enablement efforts and all communication initiatives. In this role, you will partner closely with our Communications Manager, Go‑to‑Market enablement and Product Marketing Manager to develop compelling, high‑quality internal facing content that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion across key audiences.
Your work will span the full GTM content spectrum—from crisp one‑pagers and persuasive case studies to thought leadership narratives that position our teams to have everything they need as an industry experts. This role is ideal for a writer who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, product positioning, and customer value articulation.

Key Responsibilities
Content Development
• Create clear, concise, and high‑impact content including:
○ Product one‑pagers and solution overviews
○ Customer case studies and success stories
○ Thought leadership articles, blogs, and executive narratives
○ Sales enablement content and GTM collateral
GTM Collaboration & Strategy
○ Work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure brand voice, messaging, and tone consistency across all content.
○ Partner with the Product Marketing team to translate product capabilities, customer outcomes, and value propositions into compelling storytelling materials.
○ Support GTM launches by producing content aligned with campaign timelines and product positioning.
Research & Insights
○ Interview subject matter experts, customers, and internal stakeholders to gather content inputs.
○ Conduct market, industry, and competitive research to strengthen thought leadership and messaging accuracy.
○ Analyze content performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Quality & Process
○ Maintain a high writing standard, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
○ Manage multiple content projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
○ Organize content drafts, track revisions, and collaborate efficiently across teams.

Required Qualifications
○ 3+ years of experience in B2B content writing, product marketing writing, or GTM-focused communication.
○ Proven track record producing customer-facing content such as case studies, success stories, or one‑pagers.
○ Excellent storytelling, editorial, and copywriting skills—able to simplify complex concepts.
○ Experience collaborating with marketing, product, and communications stakeholders.
○ Strong research, interviewing, and narrative development skills.
○ Ability to adapt tone and voice for different audiences and content formats.

Preferred Qualifications
○ Experience in SaaS, technology, or product-led organizations.
○ Familiarity with GTM strategy, product launches, and sales enablement content.
○ Experience writing for executive-level audiences.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Chicago, Illinois: $86,000 - $137,000 USD
