 About the Role

The Content Strategy Lead supports the Associate Director, Content and Digital Library Strategy in delivering the Flinders University Library's strategy and operations.

This role oversees the Collection Strategy and Information Management Strategy teams, ensuring the delivery of relevant collections, high-quality research publications metadata, open access compliance, and effective records management and archival services. The position is also responsible for the financial management of the collections budget and for meeting agreed budget targets.

About You

With demonstrated senior experience in an academic library, you have comprehensive people leadership skills, including the ability to lead through workplace change, manage projects and coordinate teams to achieve successful outcomes.   Your depth of knowledge with analytics and data management enable you to provide an evidence basis for strategic decision- making, alongside a well‑developed grasp of financial planning and budget oversight.

Your exemplary written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in both digital and face-to- face environments will be key to your success as you develop new initiatives, while creating and leveraging collaborative relations across and outside the organisation, (including vendors and publishers).

The ideal candidate will also hold a relevant university degree in the information science domain: (e.g. Library and information Science,) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.  Eligibility for membership of the Australian Library and Information Association is desirable.
