Overview
Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a Digital Content Strategist (SEO, AEO, GEO) looking to propel their career by joining a young and talented team of digital marketing professionals. The role sits within our APJ Digital Marketing Operations COE, driving strategies and execution for the brand, reporting to our Digital Growth Manager.
This is an exciting and challenging role with the opportunity to create an impact on the growth of a global brand in the Asia Pacific except China (APJ) region. You will be responsible for responsible for driving and executing Thermo Fisher’s visibility in emerging AI-powered search platforms (Google SGE, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and voice assistants) by partnering with Global and local teams. This role blends deep technical SEO expertise with strategic foresight to optimize regional and local content for answer engines and generative search platforms. By collaborating across marketing, content, and development teams, this role ensures that our customers’ digital experiences are structured, discoverable, and aligned with evolving user behaviors. This position is critical in shaping the future of organic discoverability and positioning Thermo Fisher at the forefront of AI-driven search. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Recommend and implement AEO and GEO strategies to improve visibility and market presence of the brand and generate demand.
- Audit & Optimisation: Review existing SEO implementations (audit backlinks, remove toxic links) and initiate pilots with local marketers to enhance current content in line with global guidelines or even co-create FAQ-driven, AI-friendly content (guides, comparisons, short answers). Identify gaps and suggest improvements for better performance.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct comparative analysis of historical and current data to demonstrate the impact of implemented strategies.
- Set standards: Advise best practices for URL taxonomy and work with Web Operations team to set up guardrails for regional content.
- Competitor Benchmarking: Use tools to benchmark Thermo Fisher against competitors and monitor competitors’ rankings.
- Trend Monitoring: Identify and leverage emerging trends in AEO and GEO and conversational AI to maintain competitive advantage
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in implementing SEO strategies with measurable results.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SEO and/or AEO / GEO.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Marketing or related field.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or similar SEO tools.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (e.g., AEM).
- Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) evaluation metrics.
- Ability to work with analyst to articulate requirement for reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of A/B testing, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), and UX principles.
