ROLE SUMMARY
The Content Implementation & Learning Director is a dynamic leader responsible for brand related training content which spans development, integration, and governance across multiple platforms, including Role Based Curriculum, Central Learning Experience Platform Content (Degreed), Microlearning, and other CFC-facing systems. This ensures content creation and delivery aligns with brand, training and role-specific objectives, adult learning principles, regulatory standards, marketing strategy, and business impact across global and regional markets. The director acts as a strategic thought partner and content owner, driving digital transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement in learning content and ecosystem management.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Content Integration & Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive content implementation strategies aligned with learning objectives, business priorities, adult learning theory, and brand strategy. Lead operational plans for seamless delivery of training initiatives across therapeutic areas and business units spanning the full Pfizer portfolio of brands aligned with customer facing efforts, which includes global KNOTs, Focus Brands and all promoted brands.
  • Platform Enablement & Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert in optimizing content across platforms (RBC, Degreed, Axonify, LMS/LXP systems), ensuring seamless learner experiences and leveraging platform capabilities for deployment, tagging, tracking, and reporting in line Global Customer Engagement Training (GCET) and triad (marketing, training and CFC leadership) expectations.
  • Content Cadence, Governance & Standards: Establish and manage content cadence, ensuring timely, relevant, and impactful learning experiences as platforms are activated based on Learning Plans for brands and roles – which spans content formation, launch, measurement and maintenance. Lead governance processes for content review, approval, compliance, and audit readiness. Maintain and evolve standards, referencing protocols, and version control.
  • Cross-Functional, Vertical & Global Collaboration: Partner with GCET, business stakeholders, operational teams, and international markets to ensure content is learner-centric, actionable, compliant, and strategically aligned. Serve as a strategic consultant to global teams for adobe, MLR, localization and regulatory compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement & Performance Measurement: Work in partnership with Learning Effectiveness leads to monitor prioritized content, learner, and business metrics, implementing feedback loops and KPIs with needed GCET verticals to inform iterative improvements and innovation in content strategy.
  • Budget & Resource Optimization: Develop, manage, and optimize the annual budget for content development, including vendor cost tracking and resource allocation. Drive efficiency through data-informed decision-making.
  • Brand Learning Cohesion: Design and execute unified learning plans reflecting brand strategy and supporting business unit objectives and partnership with learning plan owners or supporters across GCET and the triad. Create modular templates and frameworks for consistency across brands and geographies.
  • Content Creation & Innovation: Oversee development of high-quality, multimodal learning assets including microlearning, AI-generated content, and dynamic interventions. Lead pilot programs and scale innovative tools to enhance content usability and impact.
  • Agency & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with agencies and integrate external materials into the brand learning strategy. Collaborate with marketing and medical teams to translate clinical data insights into actionable training content.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience preferably in CFC, Marketing and/or training.
  • Proven leadership working with and leading within complex matrix structures.
  • Proven experience in content strategy, learning & development, or digital learning implementation within large, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Executive presence and demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority across global teams.
  • Technical aptitude with learning platforms (e.g., Degreed, Axonify, LMS/LXP systems).
  • Strategic thinker with a learner-first mindset and a bias for action.
  • Familiarity with content analytics, learning impact measurement, and performance metrics.
  • Background in healthcare, financial services, or a similarly regulated industry (preferred).
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with advanced customer collaboratives and identifying SMEs and topics for internal partnerships.
  • Ability to lead and align knowledge with business and marketing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically and contribute to the development of innovative approaches. Strong problem-solving skills are valuable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for leadership and external audiences.
  • Ability to make sense of complex information to make sound judgment and decision making.
  • A track record of holding self, others and teams accountable to meet commitments.
  • Diverse leadership experiences, including influencing peers, senior leaders and coaching others.
  • Understanding of project management, experimentation, and agile pilot processes.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,600.00 to $261,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
