About the role

SLC have an exciting opportunity for a Content Designer to join the wider Customer Communications and Marketing team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role you will help make things easier for people to understand and help users complete their goal by either working on a single piece of content or the end-to-end journey of a service. Your work will stretch across digital and offline channels and you will be responsible for getting the right content to a user, in the right place, and in the best format. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver services defined by user need.

What you bring:

  • Robust experience in content design, writing, editing and publishing digital content across various sectors such as journalism, marketing, or communications
  • Proficiency with content management systems and industry-standard tools for planning, producing, and managing content.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility requirements, inclusive design principles, and the ability to write in plain language for diverse audiences
  • Experience working on multiple high-profile projects simultaneously in large organisations, with knowledge of Agile project delivery in government digital projects
  • Skills In using both quantitative and qualitative user data to inform content decisions, coupled with prototyping abilities to visualise content in context
