About the team and the role:
As the Content Associate, you’ll support TCGplayer’s publishing operations by editing, formatting, and publishing a variety of content, including blogs, social posts, video scripts, and more. Reporting to the Senior Content Manager, you’ll ensure all details are accurate through diligent fact-checking, correct grammar and spelling with thorough proofreading, and enhance readability by refining articles for brevity and clarity. Maintaining style guide standards and consistent brand voice, you’ll manage uploads, enter deck lists and data, and employ back-end systems for efficient content delivery. By prioritizing assignments according to content calendars and updating milestones as tasks are completed, you’ll help keep projects on track, while reviewing published work to quickly resolve errors, helping to create a polished and engaging customer experience for TCGplayer’s audience.

What you will accomplish:
Edit, format, and publish content, including blog posts, social media posts, video scripts, infographics, whitepapers, and product descriptions
Fact-check details such as dates, figures, or statistics, to ensure accuracy
Proofread copy to correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
Edit articles to improve readability through brevity, linking, and word choice
Maintain style guide requirements, as well as proper voice and tone
Upload files and enter data and deck lists for the publication process
Adhere to roadmaps and content calendars for prioritizing the publishing of content
Update content calendars and deliverables grids as milestone tasks are completed
Learn and employ back-end systems and syntax required to publish content
Review published content to ensure errors or bugs in the final published product are immediately found and addressed
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications or equivalent experience
Minimum 0-3 years experience editing copy, as part of a content team or individually
Experience with different types of content, such as blog posts, social media posts, video scripts, and product descriptions
Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal
Familiarity with Google Docs and Microsoft Word
Proficient editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail
Proficient time management skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$58,700 - $84,400Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
