ROLE SUMMARY
This position is for highly skilled Network Engineer with datacenter implementation experience. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive
knowledge and experience with network design, planning, implementation, and troubleshooting focused on F5 LTM/APM load balancers and PA firewall.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Datacenter design and planning within edge services (DMZ).
· Develop new solutions and deploy new equipment.
· Collaborate with peers to review design proposals and implementation plans.
· Create, review, and maintain documentation.
· Support application and system migrations.
· Document and design network subnets, firewall rules, and load balancing based on application requirements.
· Stage, deploy, and test configurations.
· Resolve issues and escalate to DC network team management when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Highly Desired Skills
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher strongly preferred in Computer Science or related discipline and/or combination of work experience and education.
· Experience with design, implementation, and migration projects.
· Several years experience deploying F5 LTM/APM load balancing.
· Be able to design complex F5 iRules.
· Experience with deploying F5 APM and ASM.
· Routing and Switching experience with Cisco IOS and NX-OS (Cisco 2900, 3900, ASR, 3750, 4500, 6500, Nexus 2k/5k/7k/9k).
· Routing experience with Juniper Junos OS.
· Firewall and load balancing implementation experience (ACE, CSM, CSS, ASA, FWSM).
· Solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP and OSPF).
· Understanding of VLAN, SVI, STP, VDC, VPC.
· Understanding of DNS and DHCP.
· Ability to troubleshoot network and system connectivity issues.
Desired Skills
· 5+ years practical experience in a network environment as a network engineer, architect, analyst or specialist.
· F5 certifications (e.g., F5-CA, F5-CTS, F5-CADE, F5-CADA).
· Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCSP, CCIE).
· Palo Alto certifications (e.g., PCCET, PCNSA, PCNSE, PCNSC).
·Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
· Must be able to work independently or as a contributing member to the team. · Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
· MS Visio and Excel experience.
· Ability to manage projects and drive them to completion.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
· Customer oriented temperament.
· Network/Firewall/Load-balancing migration experience.
*This is a 1 year contract role.
