What you'll be doing

As a Consultant, IT Operations Governance, you’ll help create, maintain, and drive the end-to-end governance framework to help mitigate risk across Technology Operations. You'll be responsible for supporting and implementing governance practices for Technology Operations processes, including Third Party governance, as it relates to relationship, delivery and risk management. This involves developing and maintaining management reporting to be used to guide management decisions as part of the BAU process to manage Functional ID logical access requirements.   The Functional ID monitoring, reporting and governance role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective monitoring and reporting frameworks, producing accurate and insightful reporting and ensuring strong governance practices specific to Functional ID compliance across Technology & Operations. This role supports the requirement for Functional ID compliance, risk visibility, and data-driven decision-making at both operational and executive levels.

How you'll succeed

  • Stakeholder Management: Conduct regular touchpoints with stakeholders and provide relevant governance updates and raise issues and seek support as needed

  • Collaborative Approach – Working closely with CIBC and non-CIBC stakeholders you provide support and drive execution to carry initiatives forward to completion

  • Governance Support – Proactively contribute to governance initiatives and support validation and assurance for processes and controls.

  • Risk Monitoring and Performance Management – Monitor and report on the risks and performance associated with in-scope controls portfolio

  • Reporting – Create and maintain management reporting to help enable governance oversight and management insights.

  • Risk Reviews and Control Gap Assessment – Examine and interpret data to ensure compliance, identify gaps, if any, and support remediation discussions

  • Outsourcer Governance – Support Relationship Management, Risk Management and Delivery Management among other Core Processes in accordance with Third Party Risk Management methodology.

  • Audit Support – Coordination with GORM/Audit on all vendor related activities
