What you’ll be doing

As a Consultant, Business Controls reporting to the Director, Business Controls – CAO, you will serve as Records Retention Coordinator (RRC), SharePoint Administrator, Relationship Manager for the CBWM CIRA Committee, and Coordinator for the Wealth Management Reputation and Legal Risk Committee (WMRLRC). You will oversee records retention activities, maintain inventory trackers, complete annual validation checklists and any activities as delegated by the Senior Records Officer (SRO). You will manage SharePoint access and security permissions, maintain the Business Controls home page, and support ad hoc requests. As a CBWM CIRA relationship manager, you will ensure effective committee administration, maintain committee tools and resources and ensure compliance with established processes. As WMRLRC Coordinator, you will monitor referrals, coordinate meetings, maintain committee mandates and procedures. You will also provide backup support for PBB CIRA and Retail Legal Risk (RLR) processes, as required.

How you’ll succeed

  • Relationship Building & Management - Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for Business Controls Records, SharePoint, Wealth Management Reputation and Legal Risk (WM RLR), and CBWM CIRA. Collaborate with EDRMO, GORM, and Business Controls, managing relationships across peer and Director levels, as well as with project and initiative managers within assigned Line of Business (LOB) portfolios and functional groups.

  • Process Improvement - Proactively identify and implement opportunities to streamline and enhance business processes, driving greater efficiency and effectiveness. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and delivery of measurable results.

  • Guidelines & Procedures - Conduct regular reviews and updates of process documentation to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness.

  • Quality Assurance & Reporting - Monitor the quality and compliance of Records and CIRA activities, preparing necessary reports to support informed decision-making, regulatory compliance, and maintenance of key risk indicator (KRI) thresholds.

  • Records & SharePoint Governance - Maintain records inventories, complete annual validations, and update procedures as required. Act as the primary contact for records management, support SRO-delegated activities, and oversee SharePoint administration by managing access, security, and content to enable effective records management and team collaboration.
