Responsible for assisting the Construction Superintendent in managing, planning, organizing, and completing new and existing construction projects. Works closely with contractors, engineers, vendors and other stakeholders to ensure quality and timeline objectives are met and are within budget. Assists with overseeing and maintaining schedules, inspections, quality standards, and job site safety. Ensures the successful completion of construction projects while maintaining high quality standards. Serves as liaison between engineers, contractors, vendors, and Architect firms.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and maintains detailed project schedules with input from contractors (general and sub-contractors) and vendors; develops and implements efficient job site layout.
- Manages all day to day field operations of contractors (general and sub), construction sites, and vendors to effectively execute the project. Inspects the construction sites regularly to assess progress; coordinates and oversees all regulatory and design team inspections.
- Serves as liaison between the engineers, contractors, vendors, and Architect firms engaged with construction projects.
- Oversees construction teams and subcontractors to ensure safety guidelines are followed and are in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policy; supervises sub-contractors to ensure adherence to subcontract terms.
- Works with contractors, vendors, and design team to improve construction methods and resolve any challenges and obstacles that may arise during construction.
- Assists Project Manager in the preparation of project status reports; maintains accurate records of work performed, reports and site documentation.
- Procures tools and materials needed for each phase of the construction project to ensure availability according to the work schedule.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Education Requirements
- High School or GED - Required
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word - Required
Experience Requirement
- 3 Years of Commercial Construction experience including, but not limited to, reading/interpreting blueprints and project documents, framing, interior build-outs, and concrete. - Required
- Strong knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations. - Required
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety training - Required
- Experience in Project leadership or Supervisory role - Preferred
Skills/Abilities
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction contract documents to include but not limited to drawings, specifications, subcontracts, purchase orders, safety guidelines, operations & maintenance manuals, procedure manuals, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build teams.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize work; manage multiple projects, and work independently while completing projects as scheduled.
- Ability to think strategically, good conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure all internal and external customer service practices and processes are carried out and meet quality service standards and achieve customer satisfaction; Form and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
- Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.
- Provide guidance in the resolution of complex problems utilizing advanced knowledge and experience within areas of responsibility.
- Lead and model RISE values and Code of Ethics through daily interactions and conduct.
- Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively to staff. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others. Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.
