Job Description
Main responsibilities
- Be the main resource in planning for export program software releases and program timing, and shall demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of connectivity area.
- Manage and lead the connectivity development work with local partner and supplier to ensure the local connectivity solution can work well in each market region, with domain expertise across key functions with programs, engineering, product, supplier, DRE, developer, etc…
- Work with each stakeholders to ensure the overall development timing can meet the launch timing of each market, with expertise in leading the changes and forecasting upcoming events.
- Work with GM global development team and program team to ensure the GM’s Onstar requirement and deliveries can well align with the overall module timing, and show a broader understanding of connectivity area. Exhibits effective practices by clearly defining scope, status, timeline and resource planning,ect...
- Understand GM release system and release the module software into GM system for OTA purpose.
- Lead China program product development and local alignment meetings with efficiency and accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive project success.
- Work with system engineers and facilitate on timely issue triage and troubleshooting meetings to ensure tickets are well tracked and closed or bought off with accountability.
Knowledge:
- 5-10 years of experience of related technical domain.
- Fully qualified and experienced in project management.
- Experience in in-vehicle development process, product development, execution,
- Experience with automotive electrical systems and functional sub-systems.
- High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with local partner and global team.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques to solve wide range of non-standard problems with minimal guidance.
- Experience in systems engineering, vehicle integration, or validation will be a plus.
- Expertise in Telematics, Connectivity or Infotainment software development is preferred.
Education and Experience:
BS in Software / Computer Science / Electrical / Electronics Engineering is preferred
PMP certified is preferred
Skills:
- Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English.
- Exhibits effective program management practices, be able to clearly define program scope, status, timeline, and resource planning alignment with business objectives through timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Good at identifying potential program risks and key techinical interdependencies and be able to timely develops mitigation strategies and action plans.
- Fosters cross functional collaboration as a key enabler for program to run, especially with product and engineering, and partners with strategic communication.
- Strong motivation and interpersonal skills in managing medium to large programs with dependencies/interlocks.
- more than one timeline and deliverable at a time.
- Willing to conduct and participate in conference calls outside normal work hours.
- Willing to travel with upto 50% of the working time.
