GENERAL PURPOSE
As a Conformance Engineer, you will independently contribute to product compliance and regulatory processes. You will ensure products meet mechanical standards, focusing on the European market, but including North America as well.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Compliance & Standards
Independently assess product changes and ongoing product compliance for compliance with international mechanical standards, focusing on Europe and North American standards.
Interpret mechanical standards for engineering teams.
Testing & Validation
Develop and review test plans for product modifications.
Assess existing products to international standards for ongoing compliance.
Consult on product testing and validation, ensuring compliance with acceptance criteria.
Customer & Regulatory Support
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical expertise.
Support new product development in fulfilling European compliance items.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and support process improvements and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
2 – 4 years of professional engineering experience, preferably in product compliance or testing.
Experience with furniture testing, measurement techniques, and related technology is beneficial.
Exposure to project management concepts and Lean principles.
Work Location, Hours & Travel
Standard work hours: 6:00 AM –3:00 PM or 7:00 AM –4:00 PM
Travel requirement: Up to 10%.
Work location: Design Yard; Holland, MI
