The Conflicts Office performs an important role in managing conflicts of interest arising from the business operations of the Bank’s business lines, as well as from the activities of employees. Conflicts Office Strategy & Risk Management is responsible for a programme which includes overseeing the portfolio of controls operated by the Conflicts Office, managing process and technology enhancements, partnering on internal and external Audits and Inspections, as well as ownership of the Bank’s Conflicts-related Policies, Procedures and Training.

 Your key responsibilities

Supporting the Conflicts Office Central team, as part of Strategy & Risk Management, on inter alia:

  • Designing and producing management insights, including Group Operating Conditions, risk indicators and performance indicators
  • Providing relevant information in support of internal and external examinations of the Conflicts Office by Auditors, Compliance Testing & Assurance and Regulators
  • Performing internal control activities on behalf of the Conflicts Office
  • Identifying and investigating potential breaches of the Conflicts Office’s Policy requirements
  • Providing quality assurance over Conflicts Office controls and processes
  • Drafting training on topics across the Conflicts Office mandate

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in a relevant subject (including Law, Finance or Economics) or equivalent qualifications and/or work experience
  • Experience of working in an Investment Banking or other professional environment, ideally gained in a Conflicts Office, Compliance or non-financial risk environment
  • Some knowledge of financial products and business acumen
  • Experience of developing and producing management insights would be beneficial
  • Detail oriented, strong communicator, comfortable in presenting, and explaining complex topics simply
  • Team player with great attitude and work ethic; able to multi-task; works well under pressure and meets deadlines
