With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.  We are seeking a Configuration Analyst that can work independently – please read below!

Responsibilities:

  • Provides configuration management support to assigned projects.
  • Manages the local Definitive Media Library and processes requests for access to the DML.
  • Processes service request and change request tickets using ServiceNow or similar ticketing tool including requests to change the authorized product list (APL) and update the configuration management database (CMDB)
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to configuration team members.
  • Completes Configuration Management audits for ServiceNow ticket actions.
  • Builds and designs dashboards and reports in response to customer for information (RFIs) using Excel, Access, Tableau and ServiceNow.
  • Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates. Updates existing configuration databases.
  • Develops configuration and data management documentation based on program requirements.
  • Manages the production of Baseline Image Disks.  Fulfills requests from ServiceNow and provides disk packages with documentation to Logistics personnel for shipping to the requestor.
  • Identifies requirements and coordinates the development and implementation of computer-based configuration/data management systems and related support activities.
  • Provides guidance and training to managers, site leads, engineers, systems, and network administrators regarding configuration management procedures.
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge of ITIL principles, methods, techniques, and best practices to configuration management.
  • Serves as local Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Configuration Management, Baseline Management for supporting external requests, data calls, and Contract Deliverables (CDRL) reporting to the Program Office.
  • Ensure all internal configuration management processes and procedures have been followed.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT Configuration Management experience required.
  • Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL V4 Foundation or possess equivalent higher certifications.
  • Experience supporting multinational customers preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in:
    • Utilizing Tableau, JIRA, ServiceNow, SCSM, Access or other tools used to manage and control daily work and process improvement initiatives.
    • Using Pivot tables in Excel
  • Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration management support.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and familiarity with configuration management software applications.
  • General navigation of ServiceNow IT Service Management system service and fulfiller portal (i.e., All, Favorites, Service Operations Workspace).
  • Experience operating within the Service Operations Workspace to manage their work within the platform.
  • Experience with navigating a Service Catalog to locate and request services and resources.
  • Experience with Incident tickets including but not limited to opening, closing, and transferring of tasks and tickets supporting the timely restoration of normal service operations.
  • Experience with Change tickets including but not limited to opening, closing, and transferring of tasks and tickets supporting the monitoring and approval of changes to Configuration Items.
  • Creating and using Knowledge Articles to complete tasks or resolve issues.
  • General understanding of Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements.
  • Experience with creating and viewing reports and dashboards.

The likely salary range for this position is $83,429 - $94,875. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
